Show time ....

It has taken me ALL day to get this posted ... hee hee. I would start it, then go finished something else, then come back but would be interupted again! So now I have finally been able to finish & post.
I thought that I would share my good fortune we my fellow bloggers.
Our local show was on this weekend and I entered some cards and scrapbooking of mine. It was judged and I was thrilled to find that I had 2 firsts & 3 seconds which resulted in me becoming Reserve Champion & Champion for the Open Scrapbooking Exhibit. Due to PINK PIXIE Craft Supplies [my shop] donating prizes for this section [along with other sections], I donated my prizes to some very worthy participants.
These are my cards I entered, can't recall which one received second prize though.
This is my cute little mini album about my brother.
 My winning certificates and ribbons.
 Winning page for 'family'
 Winning page for 'special event'
Thanks girls .... we got second.
Complete entries.
It was great to see a lot more entries this year and some of our kids who attend classes entered items & won too !!! So proud of them.
Joe's mum entered 2 tapestries and a crossstitch & received one First & 2 seconds. She was thrilled and has already started picking what she will enter next year!!
Our shop had a wonderful day. Thanks to everyone for their support.
Ok well I must away now.
Have a great week everyone.
Cheers.

Spud's 21st

We celebrated our youngest son turning 21 this weekend. Party theme was 'Movie Characters'. Simon went as TERMINATOR
Kirby was a beautiful 'Marilyn Munroe'.
 Such a classic pose.
We dressed as the KING & QUEEN.
Emma was such a cutie TINKERBELLE & Jamie played GANDOFF perfectly.
We had a wonderful night with everyone dressing up. There was plenty of laughs, drinking and music, finishing with all going to nightclub to finish off the night.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SPUD. We love you & are very proud of all you have achieved. xxx

Today ......

I found a little friend today visiting my 'blue bells'.
This is how we have spent the beginnings of our holidays .... painting the outside of our house.
Cute little green friend .... hee hee.
Spring is in the air and along with it ... the flowers bloom.
Amongst the sea of brilliant purple, I discovered a magical creature.
I love the colour of these flowers against the blue of our fence.
It's ok to stand out from the crowd !!!
Hope you enjoy & thanks for checking in.

Latest project .............

I had a notion the other day ... along with some inspiration to create myself something.
I found this 8"x8" canvas in our local $2.00 shop and thought I could do something with it.
I decided not to use the canvas in the traditional way ...... but flipped it over and used the back as a 'shadow box' type effect.
I found some gorgeous paper by PRIMA which had butterflies & the colour blue on it {from Pastiche Collection - 'Quirky'} & just knew I HAD to use that!!!  I covered the canvas with newspaper print bags, then added my pattern paper, found a photo to include and finished it off with beaded ribbon & trim and a Tim Holtz metal clock face.I distressed the edges with 'Walnut Stain' Distress Ink and Mod Podged the whole canvas.

I hope you like & get inspired to creat your very own.
Cheers for now.

Just playing around ....

Welcome Bloggers & thanks for checking in on my blog.
I had a wonderful weekend after being sick all week. I stayed inside with the warmth of my wood fire keeping me toasty. I was able to get the creative juices flowing and create some new kits that will be available for sale at PINK PIXIE Craft Supplies. These kits are designed for you to take home and make up. There are page layouts and card packs for you to complete. Check out what I designed & let me know what you think of them. This kit contains material to produce 6 beautiful cards with left overs for more.
This layout is in beautiful autumn colours.
This is a bright & funky layout that would be great for a party shot or cheeky kids shot ... hee hee.
This layout is suited for any photo but I do like it for my pic of Joe.
Lastly there is this cute little set of 6 notecards. Cute girlie colours that would look fantastic on anyon'es gift or just because.
So there you have it .... my weekends work. Hope you like.

Cheers for now.

New things to come .....

Jane & myself ventured to Adelaide last Tuesday to check out the new products one of our major suppliers will have available over the next few months. It's very exciting to see what is coming for us to play & create with. This is some beautiful ribbon roses and folded velour that will look so elegant on cards & pages.
Prima have a wonderful selection of flowers again that will be released soon. This is just a tiny look at some of them.
Donna Downey's iron on's are a must !!! I can't wait to be able to get my hands on these. They will look great on aprons, t-shirts, jumpers, canvases & layouts. The possibilities are endless. Below are a two designs but there are many more for sale.

Printed canvas flowers. How cool & such lovely soft colours.
Stitching is going to be BIG in the craft world. These flowers are so cute with a great array of colours & designs.
One last snippet is this fab craft knife. It's a great design with a good grip, fab price and of course ... it's PINK !!!
Well this is just a small selection of what we were able to see. I'll post some more images soon.

Cheers for now.

Some things are done ......

Hello Bloggers.
This is a layout that I completed for a class at the shop. Although the shots may not be the most flattering of me  .........  it is who I am. These were taken at Bendigo when Coco & I visited Kathryn for her birthday.
This cutie is also me !!! I did this layout for class too but as no-one booked in, I just have them on display.
This is me when I was about 5/6 years old.
Remember this unfinished project I posted about a little while ago ?? Well it's finished now !! I added some flowers, metal and a butterfly to make it look pretty.
This is a close-up of the key, twine, beads and flowers.
Thanks for checking in today.
Stay warm and take care.

Family time.

We ventured out today for a wood cut. Joe has a new chainsaw as we have decided to cut our own wood again. Both the boys have wood fire places [soon] and with this cold, cold weather lately, we can't kept the wood pile full!!!
We took Chloe with us of course and being the dog she is ....... LOVES any form of water!!! Here she found this tiny mud puddle .... but it was big enough for her to roll around in and cool off!!! hee hee
it never matters how old your kids get ...... they still like being a kid and bouncing on the tree limbs !!!
Oh ...... and LOVE to show off their 'guns' too, hee hee. Thanks Spud for making me laugh.
And there has to always be a windmill in the picture.
Oooohhhhhh ..... who's that on the end of the chainsaw ????? It's ME !!!!! Well ..... when you are surrounded with testosterone ... you do have to show them that you can cut it like the best of them !!!! hey !!!
As we moved along, Chloe did manage to find the best water hole to swim in.
Everyone had a go on the chainsaw and it made light work of cutting.
We had a great day ..... we all got to have a laugh at the funny things that happen and Chloe got to get wet, play with the ball and hang out with her 'Ma'.
Thanks so much boys for helping us out, we love you both very much. xxx
Well I'll sign off for now.
