This is the house ....

that Sandie built. Yesterday I started creating this cute little birdhouse. I painted it with 'Burnt Umber' paint & allowed it to dry. I then covered it with patterned paper by Kaisercraft.
I then sanded all edges & inked with 'Vintage Photo' Distress Ink. It was pretty easy to glue it all together and onto the base.

Today I added a button border around the bottom & some bling and other additions.
A small dragonfly for decoration.

So there you have it, the house that Sandie built, done - all finished!!

I'm thinking that you could make these up in all different colours and they would make cool Christmas gifts. So that's what I might just do!!!!
Cheers for now.

The 146th Annual Naracoorte Show was held this weekend.
I entered in some of my scrapbooking creations to help support the show with these types of displays.
Well, to my absolute surprise ....... I was lucky enought to win!!!!!!
I came FIRST in - Family page, Special Event page, Handmade Card & Best Album.
I also came SECOND in - Family page, Special Event page, Double page Spread & Best Album. So overall I was lucky enough to receive -
DiGiorgio Family Wines Open Scrapbooking CHAMPION & RESERVE CHAMPION !!!!!
I received two lovely ribbons and three bottles of DiGiorgio wine - Coonawarra Shiraz 2005, Pinot Noir Chardonnay and Coonawarra Emporio Melot Cabernet Franc Cabernet Sauvignon 2005.
WOW .... how exciting for me!!!
Not that there were many entries though ... hee hee hee, but I 'spose you can't win it unless you're in it!!!
It was a very pleasurable day strolling around the show. With all the rain we have had of late & last night ..... it was very lucky not to rain today!!
Ended up at the pub for tea and home watching a movie. What a lovely day. Cheers.

Well, it's official ......

I am no longer the mum of any teenagers!!!!! Simon was 20 today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATE!!! This is his birthday card I made for him. I used a stamp that I was able to buy from Tanya earlier in the week. I thought it would be a good 'boys' stamp & I do like it. I 'd been busy ALL day getting things ready for a catering job tomorrow, so this pizza ended up being Spud's 'birthday cake'. hee hee hee
We sang - Happy Birthday - and he still had fun blowing out the candles!!

They were cute little balloon candles from good ol' Trev's!!! We stayed at Spud's place for tea and a drink & then left him to enjoy the rest of the night with Kirby & his mates.

A front on view of Spud's card.

So there you go ...... no more teenagers!!! Bit sad really, growing up too fast for me but I have to cope as there is nothing else I can do!!!!
Moving on & looking forward to what new things this era brings me.
Thanks for looking.
Cheers for now.

Meet .....

Angel.
She is the new addition to our home. I finished making her last night & am quite proud of the completed product.
You may recognise her Christina???? lol
I received Angel at the beginning of the year & she has been sitting in my cupboard, cut out ready to sew up since then. I did need to buy some filling & wading, which I FINALLY did get a month or so ago. So while I still had a little time left on my holidays, I got to it & stitched her up!!.
I think she has come up very well & Angel is most welcome to our home. She is up to visitors at any time, so if you'd like to pop around & meet her, that would be fantastic!!! hee hee hee

I have a busy day ahead of me today getting things ready for a catering job tomorrow.
I hope that everyone is enjoying the sunshine & their last day of holidays!!!
Thanks for checking in & catch ya all soon.

Two things .......

Today is Joe's mum's birthday. We are visiting her later today & I made this birthday card just for her. I liked the colours in this paper & how it had a very simple design on the reverse side.
I added detail in the form of flowers & bling. I hope she likes it. Happy birthday Mum.

My strawberry patch is looking good & doing well. Here is a group of the delicious fruit to come vey soon.

IThis is a snap of my very FIRST strawberry getting ready to be picked!!! MMmmmmmm, can't wait. A few more days and then YUM!!!!!

Thanks for popping in & cheers for now.

Wedding Card .......

We were fortunate enough to be invited to attend Kirby's sister's wedding. Sarah & TJ were married at 'Chardonnay Lodge' in Coonawarra. This is their wedding card I created for them. It's pretty simple but I love the 'pazazz' the colours give it.

Simply cream, black & red bazzill with a patterned paper. Some bling, add an edge, some lace & velvet ribbon. DONE.

Thanks for checking in & I hope you have liked what you have seen.

Creation .....

This is the card I created while I was visiting Coco in Swan Hill. We had a lovely time playing around with all sorts of things. I was inspired to make this by flicking through a magazine. Funnily enough, I didn't realise 'til much later after finishing my card, that I'd used the same stamp!!! This is the small crotcheted flower on the bottom right of card.

This is a close up of the 'lady in a hat' stamp. I stampes it on gloss paper, dropped it onto distress inks spritzed with water. Then I roughed the edge and distressed the edges with ink. I re-stamped her onto a piece of scrap gloss & cut out just her face & hat & mounted it over inked piece.

I twisted four strands of coloured wire into the shape of a heart. I stuck this to my card using glossy accents.

I cuttlebugged the under bazzill & distressed it with ink. I added lace & different coloured & shaped buttons for effect & topped it off with feathers.
Hope you like.
Cheers.

Wedding.

Hi blogging friends of mine.
Sorry these pics are in the wrong order!! I forgot about the backwards loading thing!! oops
Anyway, yesterday we attended a Kirby's sister's wedding. It was a lovely ceremony and we ahd a great day & night. It was held at the 'Chardonnay Lodge' in Coonawarra. The weather was very kind to us with the ceremony being held outside in the rotunda. The reception was held in the dining room and we were greeted by a warm wood fire burning. Nice touch. We enjoyed a fabulous meal & partied on with some wonderful company. I even ended up being able to have a cuddle with Jerrimia. He is 15 weeks old & sitting with his mum & dad at our table. We travelled home after a beautiful day.
Spud dancing with his mum. What a true gentleman .... he came down to my table & offered his hand to dance. We hit the floor & waltzed (well he tried very hard!!! hee hee hee) the song away. How lucky am I!!!
The happy couple. Sorry about the heads in front. I haven't cropped my pics yet!!! oops.

Me & my buddy!!!! Even though the sky was overcast, it still was abit bright, hence Joe being smart with his sunnies but I forgot mine!!

Before we left home, dressed up & ready to go.

Can I ever get a 'prpoer' pic of this son of mine???? hee hee hee
Just love this one though!!!

Well that's just a quick peek of our day yesterday.
Hope you are all keeping well & safe.
Cheers for now.

Cocolicious!!!!

I'm home from a wonderful visit to Swan Hill to see the Leahy family. We spent a day in our jammies, talked & laughed and had a little fun in the dungeon!! I made a card which I will post when I take a pic, and Coco made her September challenge page. We enjoyed some wine, good food & had fun doing just a little talking!!! It's nice to be away from good ol' Naracoorte for a short time.

Managed to get dressed and do a little shopping, pay some bills and have lunch with Dave on Wednesday!!
Thank you Coco for having me for a play & chat. I love your welcoming arms & it does my soul good to spend a little time with you.
So before we knew it, it was time for me to come home.
Stopped off in Horshan for a break & popped into Autograph & bought some bargains!!!!
Home safe & sound, with out getting lost this time!!!
So cheers for now.
