Yes ... I'm still here !!

hello my lovelies!!!!
I know that it has been a little while sinced I have posted on here but I have been doing daily posts on the Scraperlicious blog.
I have just come back from spending 4 days in good ol' Swanny [Swan Hill] with the most gorgeous COCO!!!
She has been moving house AGAIN and I decided to pop on up and offer some help & laughs to get her through it all.
You should have seen the look on her face when I pulled up outside their new home & hopped out of the car!! PRICELESS - I can tell you. So worth it!!
Dave & Tom were so pleased to see me too. They all give such a warm welcome for unexpected guests!! hee hee
So it was packing & unpacking and trying to find what sort of covering there was on the floor and all sort of fun things.
In amongst all this moving, Tom had his graduation night at school. He is now officially OVER primary school and is chillaxing now on holidays. Love ya Tom, well done & enjoy your break.
With Dave off working, [as one must!! poor man - such LONG days], the two of us girls managed to have plenty of giggles and laughs. We even squeezed in a trip to town & purchased a couple of little goodies for ourselves [now no-one tell the hubbies, ok !! lol].
Finally came the day I was to leave Coco, Tom & Dave to their new home and return to my own.
I was so glad that I was able to help out in such a small way as it can be such a daunting task all on your own.
Thank you guys for such an overwhelmingly warm welcome. I love you all so much and just remember Coco - if you can't find what you're looking for ........ it's in the PANTRY !!!! hee hee hee
Cheers for now guys.

Simon's Graduation ...

We travelled to Millicent tonight to be part of Simon's Graduation night. It was held at the TAFE centre where he actually did all his trade schooling. He has worked hard for the last four years and we are very proud of his acheivement.
This is a copy of his graduation group tonight. Simon accepting his parchment.

Waiting for all his group graduates to receive their parchments.

Posing with a proud mum & dad!!!

It was a nice night for a drive. After the ceremony we were able to take part in a lovely supper. Simon was able to catch up with some of the guys from his trade school group he hasn't seen for awhile.
Well done mate!!!

Not another one!!!!

Hi again.
I have finally finished this layout!!
I have had it done for quite awhile but just needed to add a title and extras. Si while I was on a roll, I completed it today. It didn't take long to add the necesseties and finish.
And ..... I wasn't completely happy with how I left this page. So I did a Susy and added to it!!!
Not much .... just a couple of stamps. hee hee

Thanx for looking.

Layout upon layout ......

I have been trying to get some pics put on layouts for awhile now. I have chosen my photos & had them sitting on my desk in Studio22, waiting to be created into pages.
Slowly but surely I am geting there.
This is a series of photos I took of Jamie at Robe earlier in the year at the Ice cream shop. Mmmmmm ..... gotta love that shop!!!!
I've used Kaiser patterned papers and bazzill in a blue & red. I stamped the title in red paint with foam stamps & marked around the letters with a white gel pen to give them a more 'boyish' look.
I attached this saying as I thought it was cute & a little mischieveous too, hee hee. Well you must have skill in ice cream eating .... mustn't you????

The second layout is of Jamie & Emma's house when they finally became the owners. I'm not sure I like this one now it's finished ????? Mmmmmmm, I'll have to think on it.
Sorry that the colours haven't shown up true, but anyway.

These are definitions out of an old dictionary I used to add a little interest along the bottom of the page.

Well there you have it .... two more pages from me. I must get to & do my challenge page for this month. I couldn't work out what I was going to do!!! After some thinking I have come up with exactly what inspires me, so I'll get to it now.
Joe is off fishing today with a friend so my house is nice & peaceful with just me in it. I have played in my studio, had some lunch, watched - 'ps - I love you' sob, sob, sob (boy how I LOVE that movie!!) and am now about to go for coffee with friends down the street.
What a wonderful life I have and am so grateful for.
So cheerio for now & thanx for checking in.

Well, it's FAIRYLAND!!!!!

Hello there bloggers!
This Tuesday at school, one of my volunteers Fee & I decided to make the canteen into a 'Fairyland'. This is us dressed as fairies ready to rock n roll with the kids!

This is the front of the canteen dressed up with fairies and wands.

Even our wonderful staff joined in on buying some of the yummy goodies that were available for sale. Thanks Rosa for your support!!

One fairy amongst all the kids eagerly waiting to be served!!

My welcoming sign.

We had an absolute ball and the kids brought their money along and happily bought some yummy goodies!! We had fairy cakes, fairy bread, fairy muffins, wand biscuits and mini fairy muffins to enjoy.
Thanks for checking in.
Cheers

This is the house ....

that Sandie built. Yesterday I started creating this cute little birdhouse. I painted it with 'Burnt Umber' paint & allowed it to dry. I then covered it with patterned paper by Kaisercraft.
I then sanded all edges & inked with 'Vintage Photo' Distress Ink. It was pretty easy to glue it all together and onto the base.

Today I added a button border around the bottom & some bling and other additions.
A small dragonfly for decoration.

So there you have it, the house that Sandie built, done - all finished!!

I'm thinking that you could make these up in all different colours and they would make cool Christmas gifts. So that's what I might just do!!!!
Cheers for now.

Looking along the page. Hope you like & thanx for checking in.

Well, to my absolute surprise ....... I was lucky enought to win!!!!!!
I came FIRST in - Family page, Special Event page, Handmade Card & Best Album.
I also came SECOND in - Family page, Special Event page, Double page Spread & Best Album. So overall I was lucky enough to receive -
DiGiorgio Family Wines Open Scrapbooking CHAMPION & RESERVE CHAMPION !!!!!
I received two lovely ribbons and three bottles of DiGiorgio wine - Coonawarra Shiraz 2005, Pinot Noir Chardonnay and Coonawarra Emporio Melot Cabernet Franc Cabernet Sauvignon 2005.
WOW .... how exciting for me!!!
Not that there were many entries though ... hee hee hee, but I 'spose you can't win it unless you're in it!!!
It was a very pleasurable day strolling around the show. With all the rain we have had of late & last night ..... it was very lucky not to rain today!!
Ended up at the pub for tea and home watching a movie. What a lovely day. Cheers.

Well, it's official ......

I am no longer the mum of any teenagers!!!!! Simon was 20 today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATE!!! This is his birthday card I made for him. I used a stamp that I was able to buy from Tanya earlier in the week. I thought it would be a good 'boys' stamp & I do like it. I 'd been busy ALL day getting things ready for a catering job tomorrow, so this pizza ended up being Spud's 'birthday cake'. hee hee hee
We sang - Happy Birthday - and he still had fun blowing out the candles!!

They were cute little balloon candles from good ol' Trev's!!! We stayed at Spud's place for tea and a drink & then left him to enjoy the rest of the night with Kirby & his mates.

A front on view of Spud's card.

So there you go ...... no more teenagers!!! Bit sad really, growing up too fast for me but I have to cope as there is nothing else I can do!!!!
Moving on & looking forward to what new things this era brings me.
Thanks for looking.
Cheers for now.

Meet .....

Angel.
She is the new addition to our home. I finished making her last night & am quite proud of the completed product.
You may recognise her Christina???? lol
I received Angel at the beginning of the year & she has been sitting in my cupboard, cut out ready to sew up since then. I did need to buy some filling & wading, which I FINALLY did get a month or so ago. So while I still had a little time left on my holidays, I got to it & stitched her up!!.
I think she has come up very well & Angel is most welcome to our home. She is up to visitors at any time, so if you'd like to pop around & meet her, that would be fantastic!!! hee hee hee

I have a busy day ahead of me today getting things ready for a catering job tomorrow.
I hope that everyone is enjoying the sunshine & their last day of holidays!!!
Thanks for checking in & catch ya all soon.

Two things .......

Today is Joe's mum's birthday. We are visiting her later today & I made this birthday card just for her. I liked the colours in this paper & how it had a very simple design on the reverse side.
I added detail in the form of flowers & bling. I hope she likes it. Happy birthday Mum.

My strawberry patch is looking good & doing well. Here is a group of the delicious fruit to come vey soon.

IThis is a snap of my very FIRST strawberry getting ready to be picked!!! MMmmmmmm, can't wait. A few more days and then YUM!!!!!

Thanks for popping in & cheers for now.
