Altered Match Box .....

Hi bloggers,
I took part recently in an 'Altered Match Box' swap. You were able to create any size match box however you liked. I decided to have two swap partners and this is what I created ....

I used a small match box.

I decorated with music paper & washi tape. Covered the top with lace & pearls. I used a large pearl brad for the drawer pull.

I decorated the inside drawer to match, added images brushed with glitter pen.

I used beads as feet & added ribbon & a small flower.

This one is decorated as steampunk.

I used metallic rub-on and many metal embellishments.

I used metallic rub-on for finish & large brad for drawer pull.

Used small brads for a rivet look & jeans button snaps for feet.

Precious grandie ...

I haven't done a lot of crafting of late ... want to but lacking mojo. Anyway, I ordered some prints of my grand-daughter and that inspired me to create this layout.

She really is so precious.

Couple of my latest cards

Well I've had a couple of birthdays over the last few weeks and I thought I'd share a couple of cards I have done.



This card is for a girl but I decided to use blues & browns as I found this wonderful gold embossed papers.

latest project

Front of 'card' I was asked to make for a special lady's mum who will be turning 70 later in the year.

I decided to make an easel card on top of a pull out drawer. this was to make it a little more special than 'just a card'.

Inside the drawer I made a small flip album with all the details for her trip. Her daughters are going to take their mum away for a girlie weekend to Sydney to see The Lion King.

This is the little 'album' inside the drawer.

And of course ... you can't forget the back !!! lol

i was asked to make a 'card' for someone whose mum is turning 70 later in the year. She wanted something that her mum could put on the fridge to show people her surprise gift from her daughters. I decided to make it a little more special than just a card, so decided to make this easel card on top of a pull out drawer for her to keep. Inside the drawer I made a little flip album with all the details of her trip away. I am rather pleased with how it all came together. I hope she likes it.

Latest projects ...

Hi everyone. I have posted a few pics of two of my latest projects I've made. One is a baby card for a friend who had a baby boy and the second project is for a friend I know through a scrap site. She has been going through a very tough time lately & wanted something to help take her mind off things for a bit. She decided that she would ask friends to send her recipes that she could make an album out of. I decided I would try to brighten her day & created the following project. I hope she likes it.
